Matthew is known for dreaming of dresses, designing for your big moment fills his thoughts day and night. But one bride-to-be’s big moment stood out this November (27th!) and for good reason, she was proposed to by our favorite romantic royal, Prince Harry. Meghan Markle, a humanitarian campaigner, actress and absolute beauty, has us all dreaming of a royal Spring wedding!

Matthew was contacted with a delightful proposition; sketch a gown for this “American Princess Bride.”

“The Bridal Council put the question to an international cadre of creative designers {including Matthew Christopher}. They responded with gorgeous sketches of wedding dresses meant to delight a billion viewers—and one very happy bride.”

We are thrilled to share Matthew’s take on Meghan Markle’s walk down the aisle. He loved the project proposed by the New York based Bridal Council and came up with several designs in a flurry of creativity. After much deliberation he decided on this romantic, collarbone revealing, elegantly Dior seamed gown. Off the shoulder, this gown delicately highlights Meghan’s neckline and reveals just enough of her shoulders to be sexy but timeless and regal enough for the grandeur of St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Set to marry next May, here’s what Matthew envisions for her big day!
