Matthew Christopher Sobaski's love of fashion was apparent at a very young age. With his favorite Vogue Magazines as inspiration, his grandmother taught him to sew with style and precision. A natural, he soon began designing dresses that would stand out at his high school prom and college fashion shows. His passion and considerable talent quickly landed him on the couture runways of New York Bridal Fashion Week.
Matthew attended the prestigious Ray-Vogue College of Design, Chicago, and then the closer to home Iowa State University. His extraordinary design talent landed him first with Demetrios, then with one-of-a-kind couture bridal designer, Candace Solomen. He rose to head designer with Galina, even taking part in opening the bridal section for Watters and Watters. By 2002, Matthew had created his own label, that featured everything from intricate and embellished lace overlays to modern, sensual draping and effortless, classic silhouettes. Consistently recognized as a top couture bridal designer, winning accolades, and several nominations for the prestigious DEBI award, his name was solidified in the industry.
Matthew is thrilled to work one-on-one with you and make wedding dreams come true.
